Tania & Sean’s Blush & Ivory Loft Wedding
Tania & Sean
May 27, 2018
Chicago, IL
From a dreamy dress to an all-white cake, this wedding is covered in pretty petals! Luxury linens (with 3D petals!) and fitted lace bridesmaid dresses add a touch of blush to ivory and gold details. Every soft, elegant detail shines bright against this venue’s rustic wood setting.
“The inspiration behind our wedding was pure FUSION. We chose Chicago because the both of us call the Chicago suburbs home, yet have not lived there since leaving for college over a decade ago! It was the perfect hub to bring our wedding back home and make it an easy “destination” wedding, since all of our family and friends would join us from all over the country! In terms of the venue, Sean was all about the woodwork of our venue, while I was all about the romantic elegance in the drapery decor (which is popular to use in the main aisle of the Bridgeport Arts Center’s Skyline Loft). To complement our romantic theme, we chose a blush and ivory color palette with metallic gold accents. Plus, with the panoramic views of Chicago’s skyline, it was the perfect opportunity to show off our hometown!” -Tania

“My bridal bouquet included blush peonies, quicksand roses, blush O’Hara garden roses and ivory spray roses. The bouquet had a memorial charm on it for my mother, who passed away in 2012. It read, “Mom, walk with me today and always, Love Tania,” and displayed a picture of she and I. The charm hung from the ribbon wrap.” -Tania
“Art of Imagination (AOI) focused its efforts on the main aisle of the Bridgeport Art Center’s Skyline Loft. We chose to line the main aisle with 5 crystal chandeliers, having drapery falling from the beam above each of the chandeliers and pulled and tied to columns on both sides. We also had a fabric entrance into the ceremony space adorned with beautiful greenery. Deb from AOI created a semicircle fabric backdrop where the last crystal chandelier was inset, so that Sean and I could get married just below the beautiful crystal chandelier.” -Tania
“The sweets table featured a wedding cake with two flavors—chocolate noir with hazelnut cream cheese, and vanilla with blackberry and cream cheese filling—made by Vanessa Hayes from Altissima Cakes (phenomenal!), along with cake pops, cupcakes and macarons!” -Tania
