Rachel & Jack
Proposal Story
“We took a two-week trip to Asia and went to the Great Wall on the very first day. We went up to the tallest tower on the Mutianya section of the wall and I thought we were taking a break to catch our breath before heading down. Instead, he pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. Most tourists weren’t willing to walk all the way up so it was just the two of us. It was so perfect and a complete surprise.”
Finding the Perfect Gown
“My aunt, Kathryn, who owns a bridal shop that I worked at for many years, came to help me get dressed before we left for the church. For years and years, I watched the inventory at the bridal shop change and never knew what I would wear myself. When it was finally time for me to pick my own dress, Kathryn had me try a gown that I never would’ve chosen and it was the one I wore down the aisle!”
Favorite Wedding Memory
“Locking eyes with each other in the church as I walked down the aisle was something neither of us will ever forget. It was the moment that the day got so real. Neither of us were super nervous or too emotional. We were just extremely happy.”
Tip for Engaged Couples
“There’s always potential for planning a big party to become very stressful, which is why it’s so important to remember what your wedding is all about. Just enjoy the day with your new spouse!”
