Love Sets Sail for Heather & Manny on City Cruises
There’s a certain magic to a wedding on the water, and aboard City Cruises’ Odyssey vessel, Heather and Manny hosted a truly mesmerizing celebration. Nestled in the heart and soul of Chicago, the Odyssey provided a breathtaking setting and unmatched charm for the couple’s radiant and cheerful wedding.
On the wedding morning, Heather, an Art Director, and Manny, a District Math Specialist, got ready at Loews Chicago Hotel before boarding the City Cruises vessel just down the street at River Esplanade. Once on the boat, Heather met Manny at the bow of the ship’s observation deck, where they clasped hands and grinned ear-to-ear throughout their ceremony.
Celebrations continued below deck as the reception began in the glass-enclosed dining room. The boat set sail along the Chicago River as lunch, toasts and dancing took place in the glow of afternoon sun rays.
Even after docking, the festivities were far from over. Heather and Manny embarked on a tour of some of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks for photos before heading to Joy District for more revelry. The transition from day to night was marked by bottle service, a dress change for Heather and a plethora of disco ball decor, turning the day into a joyous nightlife experience.
Heather and Manny’s choice to celebrate their union on a City Cruises boat highlighted their adventurous spirits and their desire to make their wedding not just an event but an unforgettable experience for all. As the festivities raged on, the May sun cast a golden hue over them, illuminating the couple and their guests with warm, natural light, completing the essence of an already perfect day.
