Local Love – Vanesa & Leonardo at Cotillion Banquets
Vanesa and Leonardo met in high school. They fell for each other thanks to the way Leonardo always made Vanesa laugh and their ability to hang out for hours without getting bored or running out of things to talk about.
The couple chose a navy theme for their fall wedding. They tied the knot in a traditional Catholic ceremony at Leonardo’s childhood church and then took pictures with their wedding party. Vanesa said her favorite moment of their Big Day was walking around downtown all dressed up with her new husband and their closest friends. After pictures, Vanesa and Leonardo joined guests for a reception at Cotillion Banquets. They used navy throughout their décor, with pops of gold on tables alongside flickering candles. Vanesa included pink, her favorite color, in her bridal bouquet.
The pair’s Mexican heritage was reflected in several elements of their reception. They had both a Mariachi band and a Banda for entertainment and they invited guests to dance the traditional Mexican “snake” dance with them. Vanesa and Leonardo honored their families’ love for tequila by including bottles of Don Julio 1942 and El Tapatio on the family and wedding party tables. “My favorite moment of our Big Day was dancing to every song and celebrating with our friends and family,” Leonardo shared.
