Local Love – Lauren & Jordan at The Haley Mansion
After meeting at a mutual friend’s wedding, Lauren and Jordan knew there was no going back. They shared lots of important loves in life: their large families, basketball, making each other laugh, and pizza. “We became best friends very fast. We fit into each other’s lives perfectly, seeming as if it was meant to be,” Lauren shared.
On the morning of their wedding, Lauren spent time eating plenty of donuts (her favorite), sipping champagne with her bridesmaids and having hair and makeup done at her childhood home. Her mom and two sisters helped her slip into her classy and comfortable wedding dress (with pockets!) as they got ready to head to the ceremony. They arrived at the church which was beautifully decorated with draped eucalyptus and large bouquets of burgundy, pink, and white roses along with peonies. The floral arrangements were lightly dusted with sparkle for added emphasis. Lauren and Jordan exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony and exited the church as Mr. and Mrs. amid friends, family and lots of bubbles.
The couple left the ceremony on a party bus with their wedding party, stopping to take pictures along the way to their reception. Because Jordan had been busy with his job as a college basketball coach, he hadn’t seen the reception venue until they arrived on their Big Day. “I remember his face exactly when he saw the Patrick Haley Mansion—he was in complete awe,” Lauren said. The ballroom at The Haley Mansion was stunningly decorated with candelabras, chandeliers, beautiful floral centerpieces of all different sizes, elegant dinnerware, lots of candles, sparkles and greenery. St. Patrick’s Day was included with green beer for the guests and a four-leaf clover on Lauren’s garter. Lauren and Jordan enjoyed eating, dancing and hanging out with their guests throughout the night. Lauren’s two sisters performed their toast to the tune of the theme song from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, much to the delight of the bride and groom.
The details and planning all came together for a perfect Big Day that Lauren and Jordan will never forget. In all of the excitement, they both agreed that their favorite moment of the day was standing on a balcony overlooking their guests having a fabulous time laughing, dancing and celebrating. Lauren summed it up, “We felt truly blessed to be surrounded by our family and friends for our most special day.”
