Linda & Steve
How They Met
“Steve and I met in high school, and I remember the first time I saw him like it was yesterday. We sat on opposite sides of the room in Chemistry class, and I was instantly drawn to his laid-back personality and the way he genuinely engaged with people. He also wore these bright tie-dye shirts and vintage Hawaiian button-downs. Junior year, he asked me to the homecoming dance and I’ve been in love with him ever since.”
Why Chicago?
“We initially wanted to elope in an exotic destination, but our families have such a special connection with the city. Steve’s grandfather helped build the Sears Tower, and my father took me to the Meatpacking District every weekend as a kid. We compromised by having a small ceremony in Chicago and flying to Ireland the day after our wedding. We spent two days with Maciej Suwalowski, who beautifully captured our newlywed bliss as we caught the sunset on the Cliffs of
Moher and got caught in the rain at Conor Pass.”
Favorite Wedding Memory
“Sneaking off to Shake Shack after we left Little Goat to grab a burger and a shake!”
Tip for Engaged Couples
“Focus on what’s important to you and your significant other. When you focus on each other and not on what other people want you to do, decisions become easier to make.”
