A Vintage Garden Party for Kenny & Brad
Kenny and Brad have a flair for life’s beautiful details — both professionally and in their home. In their vintage garden party wedding celebrations, these two creatives echoed how they live their enchanting everyday lives.
With their collection of antiques, tabletop decor and textiles, the couple loves to entertain and curate events. Their practice of putting found items together and exploring ways to reinvent carried through to their wedding day. Lanterns, hydrangeas and antique chinoiserie vases sat atop a variety of blue-and-white patterned linens to create a summer-chic fête.
The venue, Redfield Estate at The Grove, was the backdrop for an English-home-aesthetic the two desired. Their day began with an intimate ketubah signing inside the Redfield house, followed by an outdoor ceremony in the summer air. Welcomed with mimosas and lavender lemonade, guests watched as the couple beamed with joy and laughed in delight as they wed under a birch chuppah.
Kenny works for Entertaining Company, a renowned Chicago caterer. Naturally, a beautiful food station was the only way to go. The couple’s favorite vases and collected tabletop decor adorned the grazing table, creating a lovely and festive food experience for their guests. Their menu included delicacies like oysters, crab claws and lamb chops, but also casual fare like Skyline Chili hot dogs (an homage to Brad’s Ohio upbringing).
The dessert array included brookie skillets dotted with ice cream, mini milkshakes and a wedding cake with miniatures of their pets. These bite-sized desserts and a lively conga line made for a sweet finish for this stylish, vintage garden party.
