A Few of Our Favorite Things: Spring 2023 Bridal Trends
International bridal fashion weeks are back! These spring 2023 collections offer a rejuvenated lens on bridal fashion. As weddings as we know them return to the scene, modern and traditional elements play with each other to create a new era of aisle style.
Here are a few of our favorite trends we saw this season:
BOWS
Oh the delicate femininity of bows! Equal parts playful and classic, the resurgence of bows in bridal is no child’s play. From delicate details to voluptuous statements, bows of all types are everywhere this season.
HIGH NECK
Taking a page form Grace Kelly’s book, the mock-neck bridal look is timeless and sleek. These high necklines allow the focus to be on your beautiful, smiling face, just what your partner and family want!
ROYALTY
Maybe we have shows like Bridgerton and Outlander to thank for the resurgence of period pieces and the costuming we see in them. The romanticism of simpler times is undeniably alluring. We can’t help but be drawn to Regency-inspired ornate dresses and bygone silhouettes.
MINI DRESSES
Whether it’s for the reception, the ceremony itself, or a courthouse wedding, the mini dress is flirty and fun. Shortened hems add some much-needed playfulness into the past two years of cancelled plans.
PRINTS, PLEASE
Who says your gown has to be a solid white dress? For those toying with adding some color into their aisle style, prints are a great middle ground for staying traditional while still having some punchy fun.
SUITING
The bridal suit isn’t going away anytime soon. Mixing masculinity and femininity, the bridal suiting and separates trend is perfect for the modern woman looking to shake things up.
SHEER BLISS
We are used to seeing bridal gowns with layers and layers of tulle and fabric. But this season, less is more. Many designers have incorporated a “nearly-naked” look, playing with sheer materials and strategically placed embellishments.
