Pizza & Tattoos for Erin & Conor at Sanctuary Events
Erin and Conor’s wedding was all about being present with their loved ones and each other. Having eloped in Las Vegas a year prior, they weren’t too concerned with the formalities of a traditional wedding. Instead, they wanted the entire day to feel like a relaxed, joyful get-together.
Reflecting on their journey, Erin shared, “Conor and I met on Bumble in January 2020… perfect timing before the world got weird. We were both off work for three months (he’s a barber, I’m a hairstylist), and we spent every single day together and have ever since.” For Conor’s 30th birthday, the couple flew out to Las Vegas to celebrate and impulsively eloped there. “We wore sweatshirts and jeans, and it couldn’t have been more perfect,” shared Erin. “The few people we have told said that’s totally us.”
While their elopement was perfect, their wedding day wasn’t without hiccups. The night before the wedding, Erin woke in the middle of the night sick. She powered through the morning, loading up on Dayquil and Gaterade, eventually getting her strength up enough to have a beautiful day ahead. You wouldn’t know by looking at the photos, as she looks stunning and vibrant throughout!
Erin and Conor had an emotional and sweet first look along the scenic DuPage River riverwalk. There, they shared intimate vows before heading to their venue, Sanctuary Events, for the ceremony and reception.
The dinner choices set the tone for this laid-back celebration. There was no formal sit-down meal; instead, guests leisurely grabbed slices of wood-fired pizza throughout the reception, mingling and enjoying each other’s company. The couple wanted the event to feel like a long cocktail hour, complete with heartfelt speeches and, of course, a night full of dancing.
