Erika and Conor’s Elegant Rockford Brewery Wedding
On an unseasonably warm October day, Erika and Conor said “I do” against the picturesque backdrop of Rockford’s Rock River. With Prairie Street Brewing Co. as their venue, the couple set out for a wedding vision that was simple, yet entirely magical.
Erika and Conor’s wedding was a testament to their authenticity and who they are as a couple. The two met during their college years at the University of Dayton, where their initial meeting blossomed into a romance that culminated in a momentous walk down the aisle a decade later.
For their venue, the couple experienced love at first sight at The Prairie Street Brewing Co. This 150-year-old brewhouse exuded industrial charm against the natural beauty of the Rock River in Rockford. The couple’s outdoor ceremony took place on a sun-kissed dock, with nature’s beauty enhancing the significance of their commitment. The celebration seamlessly transitioned into the Barrel Room for the reception. Besides the aesthetic allure, the venue was even more special, as breweries have always been one of Erika and Conor’s favorite date spots.
The couple first met in the fall and always held and affinity for the season. Therefore, an October wedding date was the right fit. Echoing off the cozy and warm vibes of the season, their wedding decor included understated, greenery-laden floral arrangements by Event Floral. Erika and Conor allowed the venue to speak for itself with their decor choices, including toffee roses, white tablecloths and minimal linens to keep everything simple and elegant.
Because of the expertise of planner Kelly Delamater from Backyard Soiree Weddings and Events, the festivities unfolded seamlessly. The tranquil outdoor ceremony set the tone, followed by a sun-kissed happy hour against the backdrop of Rockford sunset. Surrounded by their cherished loved ones, Erika and Conor wrapped up the evening awe-inspired by the sheer splendor of it all.
