Kimberly & Khloe’s West Side Love Story
Khloe and Kimberly first met in 2014 while both working at the YMCA, and soon their summer crush blossomed into a lifelong partnership built on unconditional love. To celebrate their timeless love, the couple hosted a stunning autumnal wedding at Penthouse Hyde Park. They envisioned a classic, romantic and sleek vibe, reflected in the spherical florals, black-and-white color palette and glimmering pillar candles throughout the venue.
The couple requested an all-black dress code for their guests. This decision allowed the couple to truly stand out among their loved ones on the dance floor. Khloe wore an embellished and textured mermaid gown, while Kimberly opted for a sleek and minimal crepe gown, both purchased from Brides by Young. For the reception, Khloe added a custom letterman jacket atop her gown and Kimberly changed into a white suit.
Khloe and Kimberly also incorporated their love for the West Side of Chicago. They named their tables after local landmarks and slang, including “Out West 290,” “What Up Joe?” and “Extra Lemon Pepper.” The seating chart itself read “Sit Yo Ass Down,” adding a touch of humor and authenticity.
As youth educators — Khloe being an elementary school teacher and Kimberly a high school basketball coach — the couple took to the court for some playful photo-ops. Despite the chilly October weather, their loved ones eagerly joined them on the outdoor basketball court.
Khloe and Kimberly’s wedding seamlessly blended the timelessness of a monochromatic theme with their jubilant personalities. Altogether, the event was a perfect representation of the couple’s caring attitudes, commanding presence and the energy that initially drew them to each other.
