Kailee & Joey’s Hometown Wedding
From high-school sweethearts to college classmates to coworkers, Kailee and Joey have taken on life hand-in-hand for nearly a decade. This strong base meant they were prepared for anything for their hometown wedding, including a COVID reschedule and a tornado warning on their wedding morning.
Now living in Minneapolis, the couple returned to their hometown of Naperville to celebrate their wedding. Kailee and Joey exchanged their handwritten vows in the classically beautiful Century Memorial Chapel at Naper Settlement as teary eyed friends and family filled the room. Guests were all touched by the heartfelt ceremony, but ready for a fun reception to come. A logistical dream, the reception and accommodations were held just across the street at Elements at Water Street and Hotel Indigo, respectively.
Once at Elements at Water Street, a traditional and sweet reception took place. Surrounded by white florals and greenery, the couple began the party with a cake cutting, because of course dessert should come first! As an inventory analyst at Target, one of Kailee’s clients is Funko. The company graciously custom-made Funko Pop figures of Kailee and Joey to be their oh-so-cute wedding cake topper.
Some of the most memorable moments took place during the dances. Joey and his mother wowed guests with a mother-son dance, made possible by dance lessons from My Dance Hub. Then, Kailee and Joey performed their own self-choreographed first dance.
The couple’s July wedding was nothing short of timeless, romantic and classic. With equal parts sentimentality and merriment, it just doesn’t get better than this.
