Kristin & Bill
Lovely Locations
After a December engagement, Kristin and Bill decided that Chicago would be the location for their upcoming March nuptials. “Since we wanted a short engagement, we chose March for our wedding,” explains Kristin. After wandering into Chicago’s Second Presbyterian Church for a complimentary tour, Kristin and Bill quickly fell in love with the church and its artistic architecture. For the reception, they then decided on the Chicago Cultural Center as it was not only large enough to accommodate their guest list, but it also houses a magnificent Tiffany dome ceiling and memorable mosaics that leave guests and visitors alike in complete awe.
Family Focused
Kristin and Bill chose a daytime wedding as the ambiance was brighter and more welcoming for families. In addition to the timing of their nuptials, the couple also incorporated the use of long King’s tables and family-style meal service designed to encourage conversation and interaction amongst their guests.
Sweet Heritage
As a nod to Kristin’s Swedish heritage, the couple requested a princess cake to be served. Chicago’s m.henry crafted a beautiful cake for the couple including the traditional green marzipan that is laid over an airy sponge cake.
Darling Details
To finish her bridal look, Kristin wore delicate baroque pearl earrings as she loved their classic elegance and unique features. “I like that each piece is unique since the pearls vary,” explains Kristin when describing her bridal accessories.
