Cori and Michael fell in love with the rustic elegance of Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club and knew it would be the place they’d wed.
“We wanted something that was elegant but rustic and that was driving distance from Atlanta. I saw the Stables and immediately fell in love. It was also a great bonus that the resort has houses that you can rent out and stay the entire weekend there. We rented out a house and 2 villas and fit all of our family. It was very convenient to have everyone on site and to limit the traveling.”
The March day was cool and crisp. A string trio filled the room with beautiful music as guests entered and awaited the start of ceremony. Bridesmaids in shades of gray made their way down the aisle, accompanied by groomsmen with light pink bowties. Cori made her entrance in a stunning fitted lace gown, carrying a delicate bouquet. She joined the love of her life in front of a gorgeous arch, covered in greenery and speckled with flowers in shades of pink.
“Our flowers were stunning. Rebekah with Forage and Fleur was amazing. She has a true talent for design. My bouquet was gorgeous as well as all of the flower arrangements. I really didn’t have an idea of what I wanted, I just told her to surprise me and that she did! I couldn’t have dreamed how well they turned out! I knew I was in good hands and that I wouldn’t be disappointed. She was a pleasure to work with and everyone thought the flowers were gorgeous.”
Sealed with a kiss, the couple exited the venue arm-in-arm as husband and wife. After outdoor photos with their wedding party, Cori and Michael headed back inside, ready to celebrate. They were greeted by crisp white linens and rustic wood tables. Romantic neutral centerpieces by Forage and Fleur were complemented by single blooms in smaller glassware. Classic white china, garnished with a sprig of greenery, sat atop gray linen napkins.
After a delicious dinner by Simply Catering, guests were treated to a slice of one of two cakes from Lush Cakery—the couple’s wedding cake with vanilla and buttercream frosting, or Michael’s groom cake, which was a peanut butter and chocolate Georgia Tech cornhole cake. Cori and Michael shared a first dance, then danced the night away with family and friends, who raved about DJ Qtip—that evening’s excellent entertainment.
