A Walk to Remember
When the limousine didn’t arrive to take the groom and the male portion of the wedding party to the church, a decision had to be made. Carmen and his friends—all gathered at his mom’s house--decided to walk. “It was a walk I had done many times as a child to and from elementary school--this time for my wedding day and with all of my dearest and closest friends,” says Carmen. His brother Steve even chased Carmen across the parking lot for old time’s sake, but ended up falling down. | | Chicago Resources

WEDDING CONSULTANT
Three months into the wedding planning, Jenifer realized she needed help. Luckily, she found Melissa Phillips of Simply Perfect by Melissa. “She was a God Send,” says Jenifer.
INVITATIONS
Jenifer looked everywhere and couldn’t find what she wanted. So she created her own invitations, menu cards, programs, etc., and then started her own business, JJ Custom Designs.
FLOWERS
Yanni Design Studio, Glenview, made the reception hall a fairyland. The central focus was a 25 foot dragon wood tree in the middle of the ballroom, covered in orchids, crystals and hanging candles and lit with blue up lighting. Guests took pictures in front of it all night, says Jenifer.

A square five-tier cake of chocolate, chocolate cream, vanilla cake and strawberry filling covered in tiffany blue fondant and crowned with the couple’s monogram in silver and crystals from the Baking Institute, Wheeling.
