Maria Teresa Rendina & Thomas Dunaway
Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center, Schaumburg, IL

A Timeless Moment

When Maria and Thomas were married at St. Michael’s Church in Old Town there was a touch of timelessness that seemed to surround the ceremony. From the bag pipers who greeted the guests as they arrived at the church, to the Romanesque high altar which has an eight-foot statue of St. Michael the Archangel. Adding to the symbolism of timelessness and staying the course, the church, which dates back to the 1800s, burned down in the Great Chicago Fire, but was one of the first churches to be rebuilt.
