A Wedding at Home
There is something particularly special and intimate about having a wedding at home. Kristen and Paul were lucky to be able to have both the ceremony and reception at Kristen’s parents’ home in St. Charles. One of her favorite memories of the day was getting ready with her girlfriends beforehand. With no time limit on the party, most guests stayed past midnight and many stayed an extra hour after that.

CEREMONY

FLORIST
Elizabeth Wray Design in Geneva created a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony of two 8’ tall fresh flower-covered English iron obelisks draped with champagne colored silk swath of fabric.
RECEPTION
Guests entered through a dramatic garden wall arch covered in theme flowers of antique hydrangea, dahlias and fresh grapes still on the grapevine, designed by Elizabeth Wray Design. Dinner and dancing took place in a clear tent that sparkled with mini lights amid the tables dressed in birch twig centerpieces with merlot, apricot and orange flowers. To add a casual air to the night, Elizabeth Wray Design brought in white leather benches and ottomans to provide extra seating for two of the terraces.
